Golem – The Mystical Birth
The Golem is a mythical animated figure from a Jewish legend. It is magically created from clay and brought to life. Golem means “unformed light” and symbolizes the essence of the human being. Sebastian Holzhuber transforms Uzi Heymann into the Golem, a mystical birth takes place. The music played by Uzi Heymann reflects the elusive dimension from which the Golem takes its form. The performance portrays the creative artistic process and interaction between the two artists, one inspires the other. They mirror each other and sharpen each other’s expression and consciousness. The music played in the performance is by Philip , Max Richter and Eric Satie.
