Volunteer testimonial: Luciano Baarn
Luciano Baarn (The Netherlands) started volunteering for the Fringe in 2014 and decided to come back in 2015: “After seeing all the fun performances in my first year as a volunteer I was very curious to see what exciting and new stuff Fringe had to offer again. Another trigger to come back was the nice group of people attending the festival.”
“I like working as a location host. It gives me the opportunity to work with people but I can also see a lot of performances.”
Luciano doesn’t only enjoy theater; he is also fond of sea lions and parties. “I always enjoy a good party and the parties at Amsterdam Fringe Festival are always nice. Everyone is having a good time and there’s a lot of dancing going on.”
It’s not always just fun and games at the Fringe. There is a big change you will see something that can be touching. “I have seen a lot at the Fringe, so it is difficult for me to say what was the most memorable moment. If I have to choose, I pick the story Quinsy Gario told in Hoe ik aangifte deed tegen 770 mensen. He told us about what happened to him after he expressed his opinion and I found it very intense.”
