What do we ask of you?

  • A minimum of four shifts during the festival (one shift usually takes between four and six hours)
  • Attending an information meeting at the end of August (which immediately offers you the opportunity to bond with other volunteers)

Venue manager
Each venue manager is responsible for one Fringe location. You are the point of contact for the other volunteers here. You ensure that the venue looks Fringe-worthy and you know exactly what will happen during the evening. Also you are up to date about the corona procedures in your venue. You pretty much call all the shots. For this position it is important that you are available on specific dates, in relation to performance dates at certain locations. The venue managers get an extra briefing prior to the festival.

Minimum amount of shifts: 5

Venue host
A Fringe venue host helps with different tasks at a festival venue: you will sell and scan tickets, help to do the health check and/or guide the audience to their seats. Together with the venue manager, you ensure that everything runs smoothly and that visitors feel welcome.

Minimum amount of shifts: 4

Box Office Team
As part of the Box Office Team, you help with ticket scanning or inform visitors with ticket problems. You support the Box Office Coordinator with online ticket sales, explain to fellow volunteers about the use of their iPad and answer questions from visitors regarding their tickets. For this position it is important that you have sufficient language skills of both Dutch and English. The Box Office Team will receive an extra briefing prior to the festival.
