On September 4 & 5, 2025, the Amsterdam Fringe Festival and the Dutch Theatre Festival join forces once again for Amsterdam Fringe x NTF PRO: the national congress for theatre professionals across disciplines and generations.
From emerging makers to seasoned technicians, from dramaturgs to marketers and policymakers, from critics to artistic directors — for two days, we come together in Amsterdam for inspiration, depth and dialogue.
Art in Times of Resistance
The 2025 PRO-programme is a reflection of where we currently stand as a sector, what we feel, and what we believe theatre can do in this moment.
We live in a time where reactionary forces are gaining ground — where oppression, erasure, and fear are used as political tools. A time marked by division, isolation and paralysis.
We believe in the counterforce of connection, action and shared responsibility. Alone we are vulnerable, but together we carry enormous power. That is the beating heart of this year’s PRO-programme.
Through talks, panel discussions and interactive working sessions, we create a shared space for both reflection and action. No easy answers — but collective imagination and shared ownership.
