Amsterdam Fringe Festival and the corona virus
We, too, are shocked by the coronavirus outbreak. At this time, we don’t know yet the full extent of the consequences it will have. We live day by day and hope that our neighbors and loved ones are and remain healthy. We make every effort to ensure that the virus does not spread any further. The full Fringe team has been working from home since last week, workshops for artists take place online and unfortunately, we had to cancel the last two dates of the Best of Fringe Tour.
The situation has an impact on us, but not half as much as on all festivals, theaters and makers who have had to cancel their performances and events for the coming weeks. Our sympathy goes out for them! For the time being, we assume that Amsterdam Fringe Festival can continue as planned from 3 to 13 September. Keep an eye on our social channels and our website for the latest updates.
Amsterdam Fringe Festival works from home
Since we follow the instructions of the RIVM, the entire Amsterdam Fringe team works from home. With a daily virtual coffee moment and a lot of online consultation, we are hard at work preparing for the upcoming festival. We are easily accessible via firstname.lastname@example.org so feel free to come forward with your questions!
Best of Fringe Tour postponed
The last two performances of the Best of Fringe Tour, in Theater Walhalla and Theater a/d Rijn, have been postponed. At the moment, we are looking into finding new data for these performances. We will keep you informed!
Fringe artists 2020
The selection of 66 brand new makers and companies that will be performing at Fringe 2020 has been made and the artists are getting ready to show their performances at the festival in September. We have started the series How2Fringe workshops for the artist; for the time being these will take place online. We also host a virtual Fringe Friday Afternoon Meeting (BYOB) every week for artists who have questions or just want to chat.
Stay tuned via the website and social media for news and updates.
Take care of each other dear people and stay healthy!
Lots of love,
