А is for Азбука (Azbuka) – it means alphabet! It’s what you will be learning today!
AZBUKA floats between a performance-lecture, a kid’s educational show, and hybrid video art. Inspired by the iconic 1980s Macedonian children’s TV show Bushava Azbuka (Shaggy Alphabet), it “teaches” the Macedonian alphabet from A to Ш to the audience through RADVLAD’s onstage TV presenter persona and accompanying videos.
Б is for Буква (Bukva) – it means letter! Repeat them ALL after me!
As the alphabet unfolds, innocent words gradually shift into political, ideological, and violent language, revealing how history, nationalism, and prejudice can be embedded in education. Through interaction with RADVLAD, the audience is forced to question how national identity is taught, performed, and inherited in a young country with a fragmented history such as North Macedonia.

Biography
RADVLAD is the moniker of North Macedonian multimedia artist Vladimir Vidanovski (1996). His work deals with the flux of identity and truth due to the manipulative properties of the image, and how image culture circulates and evolves in unique ways during digital times. He does this by building worlds and creating characters through photography, motion imagery, CGI, sound and performance. With this, he tells stories often stemming from his own memories, desires and observations from his Online wanderings. This results in works that question reality by using technological advancements, identity politics, queerness, and the vastness of the human mind as motives.
He obtained his BA of Design in the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague in 2021. In the same year he was selected and awarded for his graduation work at the 2021 edition of Steenbergen Stipendium in Nederlands Fotomuseum in Rotterdam. Other awards include a prize for his short film Point me to Utopia at Roots Film Festival 2020 in The Hague, and two awards for the film Two Birds with One Stone made with Elio Troullakis at Queer Film Festival Utrecht 2024. In 2025 he participated in Amsterdam Fringe Festival with his performance Portals.
