K-HOLE

A little girl wakes up at the edge of a forest, startled. When her old imaginary friend suddenly reappears, an adventurous journey through her subconscious begins in search of a way out of this embodied panic attack.

Join us for K-HOLE in the Late Night Bar and witness something reminiscent of an out-of-control ’90s children’s TV show, but on stage. Either way, it promises to be a thrillingly trippy evening!

Biography

K-HOLE

Studio Dooie Mus is an initiative by Jelle Stiphout, Lindsay Zwaan (BODEM), and Esther Eveline Sloots, all graduates of the Toneelacademie Maastricht. They create post-traumatic theater about the human experience, for those who find life to be an absurd gift with a hefty user manual.

Last year, their first performance as a collective premiered at the Amsterdam Fringe Festival 2023, titled De Vergadering. This musical, absurd mime performance explores doubt, everyday decision-making, and ‘social anxiety’. De Vergadering was selected for the Istanbul Fringe Festival and will be seen in Theater Bellevue next spring, among other venues.

The performance K-HOLE is the result of an ongoing discussion between Lindsay and Jelle about what it means to grow up in our current world and how it was to be a child.
