Vacature: Leerwerkplek productie

Wie zijn wij
Amsterdam Fringe Festival toont jaarlijks in september 11 dagen lang een mixmash van theater, performance en dans van nieuw, onbekend en ongetemd talent op meer dan 25 locaties in Amsterdam. We presenteren een multidisciplinair programma van ruim 55 kunstenaars van uiteenlopende achtergronden, herkomsten en toekomsten. Het festival is een ode aan de theatrale gekte, de onafhankelijke geest en een pleidooi voor artistieke vrijheid. Een dikke, innige omhelzing van het experiment in de ware zin des woords: eentje waarvan de uitkomst je nog echt verrassen kan.

Werkzaamheden
Je gaat de festivalproducent ondersteunen in de productie van Amsterdam Fringe Festival door contact te onderhouden met de makers/ kunstenaars en de festivallocaties, het invoeren en bijhouden van productiegegevens, gesprekken te voeren met leveranciers, het helpen met de op- en afbouw van het festivalhart en het ondersteunen van het productieteam waar nodig.  

Wie zoeken we? Wat vragen we van je? 

• Je wil je graag als producent ontwikkelen binnen de culturele- en festivalsector. 
• Het volgen of gedaan hebben van een relevante opleiding voor deze functie is géén vereiste. Wel ben je gemotiveerd om meer te leren en je te ontwikkelen om op te klimmen binnen de culturele- en festivalsector. 
• Je hebt affiniteit met kunst en cultuur. 
• Je hebt al een beetje aantoonbare ervaring met organisatie/ productie in de sector. 
• Je kan overzicht houden en regelen is helemaal je ding
• Ook beschik je over goede communicatieve skills 

We bieden: 

• Een leuke en leerzame leerwerkplek binnen een klein, maar fijn en gezellig team van 1 a 2 dagen per week (gedurende het festival, festival-fulltime) 
• Een leerzame en toffe ervaring binnen een festivalorganisatie 
• Soort dienstverband: tijdelijke leerwerkplek voor 3 a 4 maanden. 
• Een vrijwilligersvergoeding van 300 euro per maand. Kan meer worden als je meer kunt werken.

From mid June 2022 (we’re open for other start date) until mid September, for 1 or 2 days a week. Fulltime position during the festival (Sept 1 – 11, 2022), and a short holiday break in the summer.

Who are we 
The Amsterdam Fringe Festival is a 11 day festival in September, full of theatre, performance art and dance. We’re a platform for out-of-the-box performances all over the city. We present 55 multidisciplinairy shows at more than 25 locations all over the city. From theaters to roof terraces, culture hubs, bars and clubs. The artists come from different background and disciplines, but what they do have in common is their drive to make art and tell stories. The festival is an ode to creating the impossible, free spirits and is an advocate for creative freedom and arts that can still surprise you with their outcome.
 

Activities
You will assist the festival producer in producing the Amsterdam Fringe Festival by communicating with the artists and suppliers, responsible data-entry of shows and production data, helping with setting up and breaking down the festival heart and helping out where needed.  

Who are we looking for? What will we ask from you?  

• You’d love to learn how to work as a producer in the cultural sector and with festivals.  

• You do NOT need to have the right education for this position, as long as you’re motivated to learn how to work in the cultural sector. If you have the right education; you’re welcome too.  
• You love culture. You love art. You love experiment.  
• You already have some experience in organizing or producing things.  
• You like to organize and to arrange things.  
• You have some communication skills, because creating a festival is all about team work.  

What do we have to offer?  

• A position in a small but fun team, where we will teach you all there is to know on how to make a festival. You’ll work approx. 1 or 2 days a week, and fulltime during the festival (1 – 11 September 2022)  
• You’ll get to know many people in the cultural field of Amsterdam (we program in 25 different theatres and clubs).  
• Employment: a temporary learning position for 3 to 4 months, starting in June 2022. 

• A volunteer fee of 300 Euro per month, which can be more, if you’re willing to work more days. Of course you can be, but you don’t have to be a freelancer in order to receive a volunteer fee.
