An actual “let’s address the elephant in the room” situation. The Elephant Project (T.E.P ) is a gesture towards the lack of action. Folded and reshaped into a paper tool to express our concern about the negligence of nature, our fellow human beings, and ultimately our sense of self. This is an “artivist” installation performance and we invite you to be a part of it!
Motivated by the fragile matter of animal rights and the aftermath of our actions in regards to the endangerment of others and ourselves, the two makers (Christina Mastori & Penelope Morout), present an unalike platform to create awareness and a unique medium to protest.
Countless elephant-shaped origami are the raw material for the transformation of space. Is the elephant just a metaphor? The repetitive nature of this action means labor, product in all its forms and the weight that we all carry with us. Maybe there is still time for change in the end ..
