Things we lost along the way is een gechoreografeerde, audio-visuele installatie waarbij eetbare sculpturen en gefragmenteerde beeldtaal bovenop verhalen en geschiedenis van land, thuis, verlies en verplaatsing zijn gelegd.

Over de makers

Maria Khatchadourian (born 1982, Beirut) is a scenographer and visual artist, currently living in Amsterdam. Displacement, loss, ruins and the space we inhabit, both mental and physical, are central themes in her practice-oriented research. Rock, glass, earth and edible sculptures overlap each other in a three-dimensional, spatial collection of images, both moving and unmoved, as she explores the fragility of life and the time in which we live. Her work is currently focused on mapping emotional and geographic wounds and the challenge of translating them into multidisciplinary installations.

Dit project is mogelijk gemaakt door het AFK (Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst).
