In a world where appearance is currency and truth is inconvenient, this duo dance work exposes the quiet violence of a system that rewards conformity and performance over authenticity and connection. Blending sensual precision with raw, explosive physicality, the piece reflects the tension felt by those from working-class realities navigating spaces built on privilege. It explores the inner fracture of having to fake confidence, beauty, and success to survive in a capitalist society that overlooks mental health, cultural understanding, and emotional presence, where profit is prioritized over people. Through movement, it channels the suppressed anger, longing, and resilience of those forced to play roles just to be seen. This is not just a performance, it’s a protest, a reckoning, and a hunger to create from a place of substance, not spectacle.
